About the Host

Shelby Arrington is the proud wife of Tony Manley. The only child of Mr. Square and Mrs. Shirley Arrington of Atmore, Alabama, Shelby grew up surrounded by her parents and maternal grandparents, Mr. Homer and Mrs. Lillie Ree Douglas, whom she loves dearly. After graduating from high school at the age of 16, she attended the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. At 20, she moved to Atlanta, where she currently resides. Shelby has worked for 31 years at the Georgia Lottery Corporation in sales and marketing, a role she considers one of her proudest accomplishments due to its impact on children's education in Georgia. She also helps her husband manage their real estate and furniture businesses. Shelby is the creator of the Safe Space Podcast, which aims to spread hope in the Lord, share stories, and highlight the goodness of God, emphasizing that no life is lost because of Jesus Christ. She currently serves as an ambassador for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and is on the fundraising committee board for City Atlanta, which has raised over six million dollars in the past six years to ensure that parents at St. Jude never receive bills for treatment, housing, or food. Shelby also serves on her homeowners association board, where she has lived for 27 years. She is very active in her church, serving as event director for retreats and anniversary celebrations, and is most proud of her 13 years as an armor bearer. Shelby believes that serving others has been one of her greatest accomplishments, contributing to her spiritual growth and fulfilling her deepest desires. Her greatest desire is to please her Heavenly Father by living according to the purpose for which God created her.
